I ordered this because I was getting a lot of water/moisture caught under the silicone band and it eventually created a raw spot on my wrist. (Not sure why, I did not have an issue with my original Vivofit. But the Vivofit 4 band and I were not compatible at all.)I have been wearing this new band almost constantly since it arrived. It doesn't show any obvious signs of wear. Wearing it in the shower and during pandemic handwashing have not caused any issues. The itchy/raw spot from the other band has healed and gone away.The fabric band dries very quickly and the stiffness of the metal case allows for just a bit of breathing room between my wrist and the back of the init.It did not take me long to transfer my Vivofit into this new band. No concerns about how well the unit fits into the band. It looks good and feels secure.It looks very nice and also doesn't seem to get as funky or gunky as the other type of band.I wouldn't necessarily say there are any major drawbacks, but when I ordered this the only size option was Large. I have an average size ladies wrist and wear it on the second smallest band hole. It fits me on the smallest hole too, but I like it a little loose.I am prone to fidgeting and occassionally find that I pull on the metal slide which loosens the grip on the Vivofit. It can't fall out while against my wrist, but it can shift out of alignment in the band or fall out when I undo the buckle.
